About This Recipe

The most sattvic meal in Ayurveda. Perfect balance of rice and mung dal. Complete protein and easy to digest.

Ingredients

• 1 cup rice
• 1 cup split mung dal
• 4 cups water
• 2 tbsp ghee
• 1 tsp cumin seeds
• 1/2 tsp turmeric
• Fresh ginger
• Seasonal vegetables
• Rock salt

Preparation Method

1. Wash rice and dal together thoroughly
2. Heat ghee, add cumin seeds
3. Add ginger, rice, dal, and vegetables
4. Add water, turmeric, and salt
5. Cook until soft and creamy (25-30 min)
6. Serve with extra ghee on top
