About This Recipe
Sweet preserved Indian gooseberry. Traditional immunity booster and rejuvenative.
Ingredients
• 500g fresh Amla (Indian gooseberry)
• 750g jaggery or sugar
• 2 cups water
• 1 tsp cardamom powder
• Few saffron strands (optional)

Preparation Method
1. Wash Amla and prick all over with fork
2. Blanch in boiling water for 2 minutes
3. Make sugar syrup with water and jaggery
4. Add blanched Amla to syrup
5. Cook on low heat until syrup thickens (30 min)
6. Add cardamom and saffron
7. Cool completely and store in glass jar
